I ordered these so fast, even though I was in the car. I had to prioritise and I think this was the best decision I ever made!

I am excited to share my recent (well not that recent, like October last year recent) purchase of the special edition series of "The Folk of the Air" by Holly Black, republished in stunning hardcover by Litjoycrate. This series, which includes the books "The Cruel Prince," "The Wicked King," "The Queen of Nothing," and "How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate Stories," has been one of my favorites, and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to own a beautiful, collectible edition.
The first thing that caught my eye when I opened the package was the golden edges sprayed on the pages. It gives the books a magical feel and adds a touch of elegance to the overall design. The hardcovers are also adorned with beautiful artwork that perfectly captures the mood and atmosphere of the series. It gives them the vibe as if they were enchanted themselves. The illustrations are truly breathtaking as well and I felt like the artists have payed so much attention to detail.
But the real cherry on top for me were the annotations by the author, Holly Black. As a huge fan of her work, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to read her thoughts and insights on the series. The annotations provided a deeper understanding of the characters and the world of Faerie. But mostly it helps you understand why she has written what she has written. It was also interesting to see how the story and the characters have developed over time and how the author's own thoughts and opinions have changed.
My favourite annotation is when Holly says Jude is watching a particular figure skating show. I mean, I love Jude and I love figure skating... coincidence? I think not.
Be sure to follow me on social media, where I have posted all pictures of these new books and all the details of what you can expect from this edition. I assure you, it was worth it!
Kisses and hugs!
